about

Omega Music Library's 12th installment, Gravitas, features 10 original samples composed by Marcus Marino and Gerson Zaragoza. Influenced by late 70s, early 80s Japanese jazz-funk, fusion, city-pop, and acid-folk records from Yoshiko Sai, Yuji Ohno, and Minako Yoshida, Gravitas is a melodic set of soulful & psychedelic compositions.

All tracks were mastered through an AKAI GX-635D reel-to-reel tape machine (recorded to Maxell XLI 35-180B tape) which was used in mastering studios across Japan during this era for added sonic accuracy, analogue warmth, and vintage character.

Vintage analogue gear and modules used on this pack include: MKS-80 (Roland Super Jupiter), The Prophet 5 Rev.3, Korg Trident, Roland VP-330, Suitcase Rhodes MKI, MXR Chorus Pedal (vintage), RE-201 Space Echo, Deckard's Dream, OB6, Moog Matriarch, Empirical Labs Fatso EL7X, UA LA-610.
